Hi, I'm Chomba, a Computer Science graduate from Loughborough University who enjoys working with emerging technologies. With a year of experience in software engineering and DevOps, I specialize in building software, mainly Python and JavaScript, cloud infrastructure (currently I am working with AWS), as well as Machine Learning. Outside of work, I enjoy powerlifting, golf, playing the piano, and reading.

Professional Experience
Software Developer/Cloud Engineer
July 2024 - October 2024
Head in the Clouds Consulting, Loughborough, UK
I managed cloud infrastructure and automation at a startup, optimizing deployment workflows and backend operations. Using Terraform, I deployed AWS EC2 instances on ECS for scalable, containerized apps, I also developed Python-based Lambda functions for serverless architecture, and design CI/CD pipelines with AWS and GitHub to streamline deployments.

Uniper Technologies Ltd, Nottingham, UK
I developed and debugged software and DevOps solutions in a fast-paced environment using Python, JavaScript, Azure, Docker, and Kubernetes. I led a computer vision project to detect turbine blade damage, collaborated on sprint planning with the Scrum master, and communicated with end users to gather requirements and deliver solutions. Additionally, I monitored containerized microservices on Unix-based VMs.

Stock Market Prediction Neural Network
Research project focused on using neural networks to capture complex patterns and non-linear relationships in data to predict the stock market.
Genre Identification Neural Network
A machine learning model I built to classify sound files, leveraging feature engineering techniques and feature analysis to extract meaningful patterns from data.
Administration System Update
Developed and updated the company's administration system, enhancing usability and adhering to version control standards. Created scalable and high-performance backend APIs using Flask to support web and mobile applications.
Timetable Scheduler Automation Script
Created a script leveraging selenium, multi-threading techniques and the Google calendar API to automate the scheduling of lectures on my calendar.
Arduino Uno Embedded System
Designed a user interface for the control panel of a home automation system to be used on an Arduino Uno microcontroller.Hobbies

Piano
I have been playing the piano for 2 years and enjoy learning about it in my free time (Snippet of the song I am currently learning below).
Powerlifting
I powerlift competitively, placing 2nd at the British Univeristy Championships in 2023 and am Ex-Captain of the Loughborough University Powerlifting team.
Golf
I play golf casually to a 15 handicap. At my highschool I co-led the construction of a golf practice facility on the school campus (pictured above).
Learning About Technology
I enjoy learning about new technologies and am currently studying for my Hashicorp Terraform Associate certification.
Reading
I enjoy reading books and am currently reading Chopin's Piano by Paul Kildea.
